RED DRAGON RACING PARTNERS UP & ENTERS THE LNRRACING FORMULA AMERICAS SERIES
Roxanne Skarsgard was planning on entering her own team with the support of Red Dragon Racing into the LNRRacing Formula Americas Series, but due to a change in circumstances, she'll be driving our main car this season. Her long time friend Jakob Arbeit will be driving in her car this season, meaning we have the bonus of having a semi-team mate on the grid.
RED DRAGON RACING ENTERS LNRRACING JGT LEAGUE
After an absence from racing, team founder Natalie is raring to get behind the virtual wheel again. As the team was entered into the GT3 series, it would have been rude not to also enter the Japanese GT Series. Using the GT500 cars (similar to those used in the ERORL DTM500 league), we're hoping that the time away hasn't hampered Natalie's skills too much
RED DRAGON RACING TO TAKE PART IN LNRRACING EURO GT3 LEAGUE
Red Dragon Racing will be competing in the LNRRacing European GT3 Series. After our success in the 3 hours of Spa earlier this year it seemed an obvious choice to enter in the league's latest season of GT3 Racing. We'll be using the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 in it's Goodsmile/FATE livery with Matt Edwards at the wheel.
LNRACING 3 HOURS OF SPA RDR RESULTS
On the 21st February, Red Dragon Racing took part in the LNRacing 3 Hours of Spa in a one-off entry. It was Roxxi Skarsgard & Matt Edwards who would be in the driving seat against 58 other teams, all looking to take home the crown for the longest race of the season.
Roxxi Skarsgard would qualify the car inside the top 20, but fell down the field at the start of the race after getting caught up in a nasty shunt in Eau Rouge that saw the safety car deployed. Thankfully the car wasn't too badly damaged and 80 minutes later at the end of her stint, she had climbed back into the Top 10.
Matt Edwards would be in the car for the remaining half of the race and from the get-go he was gunning for every position he could get his hands on, slicing his way up to P5 before 20 minutes had passed. In the closing segment of the race, Matt managed to climb into the podium positions, and had a fantastic scrap for 2nd. He would cross the line in P2, a fantastic result for a last minute entry.
However, later the following week, it was announced that the winning car had an illegal ride height and wing angle, disqualifying the car from the event, and promoting Red Dragon Racing into P1!
EVENT RESULTS: JIMMY BROADBENT RACE FOR MENTAL HEALTH
After a gruelling 23hours, Matt Edwards drove the #53 Red Dragon Racing Audi RS3 LMS TCR home to a 10th place class finish, and a 24th place overall finish in the Race For Mental Health, setup by Jimmy Broadbent. a fantastic result for a solo effort.
Jimmy and everyone who took part were able to raise an incredible £70,000 towards the Mind Charity!
UPCOMING EVENT: RACE FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Red Dragon Racing are proud to announce we will be running in the Jimmy Broadbent 23hours of Zolder!
Matt Edwards will be running an Audi RS3 TCR on for the entire 23 hour race on his own, in memory of two friends of his that sadly passed away during the Covid Lockdown.
